In the first one 10 the player chooses from 10 different planktons to make music with. Gameplay: There are basically two modes: Performance and Audience. It ranges from hypnotic to calming, complementing the visuals perfectly. ![]() The music that can be created its fascinating. The sound is crystal clear and each plankton has its own personality. Sound: This is probably the most important aspect of Electroplankton. Calm/relaxing ones usually use blue/green colors. Upbeat/loud planktons tend to have a red/orange palette. Colors have also been carefully chosen according to the music. ![]() They are cute and are always smiling waiting for the player to interact with them. Each plankton has been crafted to fit the specific kind of music interaction they represent. Graphics: The graphics are simple but beautiful. ![]() If this is just an experiment, keep them coming because it turned out to be a great unique game. It is different, it appeals to everybody and it has no language barriers. So why even bothering? Theres no published title in any console that comes even close to this experience. It is pricey to import and the chances of a release outside that country are slim. Electroplankton was designed and developed by Toshio Iwai, a renowned Japanese artist.
